McDonald’s has been facing a boycott trend on social media and the reason behind this is its indirect involvement in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
McDonald’s, a brand known globally for its burgers and fries, has recently found itself in a diplomatic quagmire as the company has been providing free meals to the IDF, the military forces of Israel.
This act, seen by many as a show of support for the IDF, has not been well-received. Thus, a backlash has been so severe that it has led to a widespread boycott of McDonald’s outlets across the global social media platforms.
