Medical experts advise to eat sacrificial meat in moderation on Eid-ul-Azha

KARACHI: Medical experts have advised the citizens to eat the meat of the sacrifice in moderation on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

According to medical experts, eating more meat in hot weather can cause indigestion and upset the stomach system. On Eid-ul-Azha, healthy people can eat one piece of meat a day, while cholesterol, diabetes, and heart disease patients can eat half a piece of meat.

Professor Zaman Sheikh, a former professor of medicine at Dow University, said that the amount of cholesterol in the kidney, kidney, brain, and liver is very high, so patients with kidney disease, heart disease, and diabetes should avoid these foods.

He said that while making barbecue, citizens should take special care that the meat is well cooked because the meat in the barbecue is raw and usually contains animal blood, which can cause damage to human health.

Professor Zaman Sheikh said that eating meat continuously in hot weather can be harmful, eating vegetables, salad, and curd with meat will be useful, and people suffering from digestive system disorders should not eat meat at all.

He said that the amount of cholesterol in cow, bull, calf, and camel meat is high, the amount of cholesterol in goat meat is low, and patients with heart disease and diabetes should avoid eating fat in meat.

Professor Zaman Shaikh said that meat contains the best proteins, young children, and girls should eat meat, and meat contains iron, zinc, and vitamins that increase blood, using a parallel diet on the occasion of Eid al-Azha. Better yet, meats with strong spices create acidity in the stomach.

He further said that the consumption of cold drinks with meat causes acidity, and people with kidney problems should avoid eating meat, hot spices, and chilies cause health problems, hence a balanced diet.
