ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has asked the nation for more time to fix the country’s economy and said that the economy cannot be fixed by turning the button on and off.
According to the details, the finance minister said in a statement that Rs 42 billion have been kept in the budget for the election of the entire country. “No burden will be imposed on the public,” he said.
In the statement, the finance minister said that he will try to give maximum relief to the salaried class in the budget. The economy cannot be fixed by turning a button on and off. “It will take time to fix the economy,” he maintained.

The finance minister said that the government has fulfilled all the conditions of the IMF. “By June 30, the IMF program has to end as it is. Now there is no next review,” he said. Dar, highlighting the economic situation, said that only the ninth review from the IMF would be possible. He said that he cannot share the budget details without the 9th review.
It should be noted that earlier Dar said that Islamic finance will help in eradicating poverty. Addressing the ceremony of the International Islamic Banking Conference in Islamabad three days ago, Ishaq Dar said that the Islamic banking system is improving, and Islamic financing can help in overcoming poverty.
