ISLAMABAD: The nephew of PTI Chairman, Barrister Hassan Niazi has been arrested by Islamabad Police from outside Judicial Complex, moments after he got bail in cases registered against him for Saturday happenings.

Hassaan Niazi also acts as adviser to Imran Khan on legal affairs.
Police arrested Hassaan from outside of the G11 judicial complex, and accused Niazi of orchestrating the attack on the police van and personnel at Judicial Complex when clashes broke out between PTI workers and police.

Prominent legal expert Naeem Haider Panjotha said Hassaan Niazi came out of the court along him. He said they told police that he had been bailed, yet Superintendent Police Nosherwan forcibly took him away with him in the vehicle to Ramna police station.
The court has reportedly granted Niazi bail till April 3.

PTI leader Farrukh Habib, in a video message, said SP Nosherwan abducted the PTI focal person on legal affairs from outside the court despite his getting bail in all the cases.

“It is a new low of police-gardi. Lawyer Hassaan Niazi who has just now been given bail by the court has been abducted,” he said asking lawyers across the country to immediately come out in protest and block the roads.
Other PTI leaders termed the arrest of Hassaan Niazi as ‘abduction’, and demanded superior judiciary to take notice.
