KOHISTAN: At least ten people of a family lost their lives as a result of huge blaze that brought down their house in Lower Kohistan’s Sairi Patan area.

According to details gathered by MM News from rescue and local sources, the fire erupted at around 2am last night which engulfed the entire house of a local person known as Nawab.
Rescue 1122 teams on receiving the initial information, rushed to the spot but in the meantime, the house caved in due to the massive blaze, burying family members.

Rescue teams kicked off their operation and watching the intensity of the blaze, summoned help from Shangla and Upper Kohistan as well.
Some 13 members of the family buried under the wreckage were pulled out, ten of whom were declared dead while three children injured.
MM News has learnt that Nawab has lost five daughters, 3 sons, mother and wife in the horrible tragedy.

District Emergency Officer Sajid Ali was himself supervising the search and rescue operation as one person was reported missing till the filing of this report.
