LAHORE: Senior Leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Fawad Chaudhry has said that “we have confirmed reports about an attack at F-8 Kutchery (district courts), and can’t handover party Chairman Imran Khan to Rana Sanaullah.”

He was talking to media amid reports of fresh teargas shelling by Police and Rangers at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence as part of continued attempt to arrest him in Toshakhana case.

Fawad Chaudhry met with the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court and requested to summon CCPO Lahore in order to halt the ongoing police operation, to which he was told to file proper petition regarding the issue (of police assault at Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence).

He said in the past, courts opened midnight, but no judge was there in the courts till 10 am this morning, adding that PTI’s teams were present there in Islamabad High Court and session court (to deal with arrest warrant of Imran Khan).
He said PTI would surrender to court, not to the government, urging lawyers fraternity to come out and hit the streets for protest. He alleged that the Caretaker Punjab government and police officials were acting directly on orders of Jati Umra (headquarters of PMLN).
