KARACHI: Pakistan has sent first shipment through Navy Ship for the earthquake affected people of Turkey and Syria.

Officials said in continuation of relief assistance to the earthquake affected people of Turkiye and Syria, National Disaster Management Authority dispatched first shipment through Naval Ship NASR from Karachi Port Trust the other day.
Minister for Maritime Affairs Faisal Subzwari, Turkish Consul General Jamal Sangu and Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Faisal Abbasi were present on the occasion.

This consignment contains large family-sized winterized tents and blankets as per current need of quake affectees in Türkiye whereas generators, dry rations, medicines and clothing for the victims in Syria.
The ship carrying 1000 tonnes of assistance goods for the two countries would reach the destination within 14 days.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Embassy in Syria in coordination with the Pakistan international school of Damascus have contributed a truckload of goods along with a presentation of a cheque worth 20 million Syrian Pounds to the Governor of Hama province.

The students along with the Ambassador of Pakistan visited shelters of quake hit persons and distributed the relief stuff.
The administration of Hama thanked the people of Pakistan for standing by with their Syrian brothers.
