KARACHI: A local court in the Metropolis sent Dania Shah, widow of late MNA and TV host Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, to jail on judicial remand, and ordered Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to submit copy of challan on next hearing.

Dania Shah, who was arrested from Punjab on December 15، was produced before Judicial Magistrate South and sought her physical remand.
The court first questioned the jurisdiction, to which the prosecutor said that the video uploaded by accused Dania Shah was watched everywhere, so the court (of Judicial Magistrate South) could easily look into the case.
Dania Shah and her mother were surrounded by media personnel, who kept asking her if she leaked the private videos of her ex-husband or not.

The lawyer representing the complainant, Zia Awan Advocate, alleged that accused Dania Shah belonged to a gang, and didn’t act alone.
Dania Shah, on the other hand, pleaded that the controversial videos of late MNA and TV host Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain weren’t made viral by her. She claimed that she was subjected to the present condition so as to deprive her from late MNA Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s inheritance.
After hearing the arguments, the court rejected FIA’s demand of physical remand, and sent Dania Shah to jail. The Court told FIA that if needed, it could interrogate Dania Shah in jail.Â
