NEW DELHI: Kanpur Police are reported to five members of a Bangladeshi family on charges of spying for Pakistan.
According to multiple Indian media reports, police found some evidences about head of Bangladeshi family, Dr Rizwan, who was caught in Kanpur on Sunday, going to Pakistan thrice on his fake passport. Suspicious documents related to India-Pakistan have been found in the laptop recovered from him.
Joint Police Commissioner Anand Prakash Tiwari told that Rizwan is suspected of being a Pakistani spy. Other security agencies including ATS, NIA and Military Intelligence have been given inputs related to Dr. Rizwan. Security agencies have started investigating the entire matter.
Local media reports suggest Dr Rizwan got himself and his family’s fake Aadhar card made and showed himself as an Indian citizen and was hiding in the city on the basis of certificate obtained from local MLA Irfan Solanki. Moolganj police under the leadership of ADCP Manish Sonkar arrested five people of this Bangladeshi family.
These five accused were arrested
- Rizwan Mohd. s/o Deen Mohd., aged 53 years ordinarily resident Khulna Bangladesh
- Khalid Majeed S/o Abdul Majeed R/o Above Age 79 Years
- Hina Khalid Spouse Rizwan Mohd R/o Above Age 45 Years
- Rukhsar Rizwan s/o Rizwan Mohd R/o Above Age 21 Years
- Kishor s/o Rizwan Mohammad r/o above age 17 years
