WASHINGTON: US Department of State spokesperson Ned Price has said that Pakistan is our main partner in the region, and warned of action if international terrorists regroup in Afghanistan, fearing the Taliban-ruled country may become a haven for militants again.

According to the details, the spokesperson of the US Department of State said in a statement that Pakistan is an important partner of the US in the region. “We value relations with Pakistan,” he said.

In a statement, a US State Department spokesperson said that the US does not favor any candidate or any individual in Pakistan. “What we are in favor of is the constitutional system of Pakistan,” he said.

The spokesperson of the US Department of State said that there is a fear that Afghanistan will once again become a haven for terrorists. America has the capacity to fight terrorism in the region, he stated.

Price said that if global terrorists reunited in Afghanistan, they would act. All such steps will be taken to protect the interests of the United States.

It should be noted that bilateral cooperation and trade have been going on for a long time in friendly relations between Pakistan and America. Pakistan-US trade increased by 38 percent during the last financial year.

The trade volume between Pakistan and America was more or less 10 and a half billion dollars. According to the news that came out at the beginning of this month, Pakistan’s exports to America will continue to increase.
