PESHAWAR: The PTI member of KP Assembly Fazl Elahi has been nominated in the First Information Report (FIR) for staging protest outside the Corps Commander’s house in Khyber Road, Red Zone, against assassination attempt on the life of party Chairman Imran Khan.
Khan, it may be recalled, was shot and injured when his Long March came under fire from multiple directions in Wazirabad on November 3. One person had lost life while trying to capture the shooter, while 13 others were injured.
CCPO Peshawar has written a letter to Deputy Speaker KP Assembly, citing a video of the demonstration that took place a month ago near the house of Corps Commander Peshawar, and seeking permission to proceed in the case.
The case has been registered against MPA Fazl Elahi under Section 427, Section 353 and Section 341.
Fazl Elahi is reported to have not only staged protest demonstration, but also captured an armored personnel carrier of local police.
