ISLAMABAD: The custody of PTI Senator Azam Swati has been transferred to Balochistan where he would be kept in Kuchlak Jail, just outside provincial capital Quetta. The move came just a day after FIA apprised Islamabad court that it had completed its investigations, adding that there was no need for further investigation. Swati was arrested on Sunday for the second time in less than two months over controversial tweets and speeches.
My father Azam Swati suffered chest pains and breathing issues late last night after he was sent on judicial remand to I9 subjail. He was shifted to PIMS hospital at 4 am this morning. Quetta police came a7:30 and had him discharged before his lab results came back.

According to media reports, Senator Azam Swati’s son contact media and reported that his father had been shifted to Balochistan overnight in case related to his controversial speech at November 26 PTI rally. Several cases across Balochistan had also been registered against Azam Swati.
Quetta police came at 7:30 am this morn and had him discharged before his lab results came back. Weve been told that they have taken him to Quetta.

Just yesterday, the FIA filed an application in the court seeking an end to the PTI leader’s physical remand, and apprised the court that it has completed its investigations, adding that there is no need for further investigation from the PTI leader.
The agency officials pleaded with the court to send the PTI leader on judicial remand, which the court approved.

PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid too on Thursday petitioned the Supreme Court (SC) to take suo motu notice regarding the “political victimization” of PTI Senator Azam Swati through series of politically motivated cases. The petition asked for immediate notice to be taken on the “illegal arrest” of the senator and the “violation of privacy of his home.”
