RAWALPINDI: The local administration is reported to have advised Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to change the venue of its proposed sit-in citing issues related to the arrival of England cricket team as well as presence of some key installations.

PTI, it may be recalled, wanted to stage its sit-in near Faizabad on November 26. Its Chairman Imran Khan, who has given call to general public to reach there, is planned to arrive at the venue in Rawalpindi by helicopter. Besides this, team England will reach Islamabad on November 26 and they too are scheduled to pass through this route.

MM News has learnt that keeping in view the presence of some key installations near Faizabad, the local administration was forced to review security arrangements, after which it suggested to the party leadership to move the venue of PTI’s sit-in from Faizabad to Allama Iqbal Park.

Meanwhile, sources privy to the development said Sports Complex has been booked for the stay of PTI leaders. Earlier, the federal police said that entry from Rawalpindi to Islamabad may be blocked on November 26 ahead of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) long march.
