JACOBABAD: A four-year-old girl is facing death after her uncle crassly accused her of Kari in Thul, Jacobabad.
Arab Banglani, the maternal uncle of Fatima (4), outrageously accused the child of Kari in the limits of the C-Section police station in Tehsil Thul.
The girl’s father, Hazar Khan, protested the accusation and took the matter to the influential people of the area. But they are not paying heed to his requests. The poor father alleged that Banglani wanted to kill his daughter in the Karo Kari act.
He requested the higher authorities to take notice of the incident and intervene to save little girl’s life.
After the news was broadcast on the media, Sessions Judge Abdul Ghafoor Kalhoro took notice and the police registered a case against five accused including Arab Banglani.

The girl’s father, Hazar Khan, refused to register a case against anyone due to fear, so the case was registered in the government’s complaint.
The police produced Fatima in the court, after which the court ordered the police to hand over the girl to her father in exchange of a two million surety bond.
The karo-kari act is usually committed against women who are thought to have brought dishonour to their family by engaging in illicit pre-marital or extra-marital relations. In order to restore this honour, a male family member must kill the female in question. The practice is still rampant in the backward areas of the country.
