KARACHI: The Counter Terror Department (CTD) is reported to have arrested suspected killer involved in the murder of Shaheen Force Jawan Nihal Ziaul Haq on Wednesday.
CTD Officials told media that a team of Shaheen Force was on routine patrol in in Bara Board area, within the jurisdiction of Pak Colony Police Station, when they got information about a street crime, involving robbers snatching cash and valuables and spraying bullets. A citizen was reported to have lost life in the robbery.
As soon Shaheen Force team rushed to the spot and started a hot pursuit to nab the robbers, they opened fire, killing Nihal on the spot.
The CTD came into action after the incident and within 24 hours, arrested one suspect who was involved in the Pak Colony robbery in which the slain citizen was deprived of Rs. 400,000. Officials said the weapon used in the crime had been recovered, while raids were being conducted to arrest his accomplices.
