LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has annulled the election of Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz, after which former Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has been reinstated as acting Chief Minister.

According to details, Hamza Shehbaz is no longer the Chief Minister of Punjab after the written decision of the Lahore High Court came to light. At the same time, his provincial cabinet was dissolved. Lawyers said that the chief minister will be re-elected after the election is declared null and void.

The High Court has issued a written verdict against Hamza Shehbaz on the petitions of Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and PTI and also annulled the decision of swearing-in of Hamza Shehbaz on April 16. The court issued an 8-page written decision.
