LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sought suggestions for ensuring free-of-cost provision of medicines to patients in all hospitals of Punjab.
An important meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was held at his residence in Model Town Lahore which lasted for two hours.
According to sources, the meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Afzal, former Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, Khawaja Imran Nazir and Punjab Health Department officials.
Sources said that during the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed that free treatment be provided to the poor at Pakistan Kidney and Liver Hospital.
He also directed the Chief Secretary, Punjab, to make the supply of flour to the people cheaper after Eid.

Earlier, during his visit to Saudi Arabia, the prime minister held meetings with the Saudi leadership to promote economic, trade and investment relations as well as increase employment opportunities for Pakistani manpower in Saudi Arabia.
During the meetings, the two sides also discussed issues of mutual interest, especially various regional and international issues.
Sources said the prime minister discussed a total package of $7.5 billion during the visit and requested Saudi Arabia to defer payments of $4.4 billion by the end of this year.
