LAHORE: The court has hinted to appoint its own representative to take oath from newly-elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz.
Chief Justice Lahore High Court Muhammad Ameer Bhatti heard the petition filed by newly-elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz regarding his swearing-in. Hamza Shahbaz has taken a stand in his petition that the Lahore High Court should appoint a person other than the Governor to administer the oath of office to the President but he has not complied with the court orders.
Hamza Shahbaz requested the court to issue directions for the execution of his orders. It may be recalled that after the refusal of Punjab Governor Omar Sarfraz Cheema to abide by the constitutional order, the Lahore High Court on April 22 issued a brief judgment ordering the President to appoint another representative to administer an oath to the newly-elected Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz.

Chief Justice Ameer Bhatti said that there is no government in Punjab for 21 days, do you know how the province is running?
