ISLAMABAD: In Pakistan, 723 people have been infected with the deadly coronavirus, leaving seven people dead.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, 723 new coronavirus cases and seven deaths have been reported in Pakistan in the last 24 hours. A total of 39,540 samples were tested, of which 723 or 1.83 percent were positive.
Yesterday, 639 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Pakistan while 4 more people were infected with the virus in the last 24 hours.

Around 36,241 tests were conducted across Pakistan while the proportion of positive cases was 1.76 percent. The number of tests done so far has reached 26,785,763 while 707 patients of coronavirus are in intensive care.
In the country, 581 patients have succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,468,449. The number of active cases of coronavirus has risen to 18,049.

Around 570,934 in Sindh, 530,279 in Punjab, 217,690 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 134,736 in Islamabad, 35,403 in Balochistan, 43,149 in Azad Kashmir, and 11,598 in Gilgit-Baltistan cases of coronavirus were reported.
In Punjab, 13,535 people died due to coronavirus, 8,085 in Sindh, 6,294 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1,019 in Islamabad, 790 in Azad Kashmir, 377 in Balochistan, and 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
