RIYADH: Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the heinous terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in the city of Peshawar in Pakistan, which resulted in the death of dozens of innocent people and injured others.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed sincere condolences and sympathy to the families and relatives of the victims and to the government and people of Pakistan, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
The ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with Pakistan in all measures taken against extremism.

Earlier, Peshawar Corps Commander Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed said that the country’s armed forces were determined to eradicate the menace of terrorism.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman, Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed visited the site of the mosque in Qissa Khawani Bazaar and offered condolences to the leaders and expressed sympathy.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman said that the incident was very tragic and an attempt to tarnish national unity and harmony.
