ISLAMABAD: A total of 1,983 new cases of coronavirus were reported across the country while 26 more civilians have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,498,676 people were infected with coronavirus across the country while 29,976 civilians lost their lives to the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 47,780 tests were performed to diagnose coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 26,044,959. Nationwide, the test result was 4.15 percent, while 1,439 patients were in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours, Corona has been defeated by 2,782 people across the country, bringing the total number of recovering people to 1,399,000. The active cases of the virus are 69,700 while the death rate remains at 2 percent.

The highest number of corona cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab where 498,322 people fell victim to the virus while 13,430 died. In Sindh, 563,314 cases and 8,020 deaths were reported from coronavirus.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 214,277 people fell victim to corona while 6,182 died. In Balochistan, 35,206 cases of the virus were reported while 373 civilians lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 42,535 people were infected with Corona and 780 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,320 cases and 189 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 133,702 people were infected with Corona and 1,002 died.
