PIR MAHAL: A fire broke out in a house in a village of Toba Tek Singh area in which seven people lost their lives while three were severely burnt.
According to reports, the incident took place when the cylinder exploded, rescue teams and security personnel rushed to the spot and the injured were being shifted to the hospital for medical treatment, the rescue officials said, adding that four children were also among the dead.
A few weeks earlier, a cylinder blast in Gujranwala killed 10 people, including three children of the same family, in a passenger van.
The passenger van left Rawalpindi for Gujranwala. A mini-truck hit the van near Rahwali, causing a gas cylinder to explode in the rear of the van.
The gas cylinder exploded causing a loud explosion. The fire engulfed the entire van. Four members of the same family from Mansehra were killed and seven others were injured in the blaze.
