Govt will bear all the financial burden for Reko Diq: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the federal government will bear all the financial burden of the Reko Dic project for the construction and development of Balochistan.

In his message on  Twitter last night, PM Imran Khan said that in view of his government’s vision to bring small provinces forward, he has decided that our federal government will bear the burden of the Reko Dic project itself.

In line with my govt’s vision for uplift of smaller provinces, I have decided our fed govt will bear all the financial burden for Reko Diq & it’s development on behalf of Govt of Balochistan. This will help usher in an era of prosperity for the people & province of Balochistan.

In a tweet, the prime minister wrote that the federal government would bear all the financial burden of Reko Dic and all the expenses incurred for its construction and development by the provincial government itself. This decision will bring a new era of prosperity for the people of Balochistan, he wrote.

It may be recalled that the prime minister allegedly decided to meet the leadership of the coalition parties before presenting the mini-budget so that the allies could be taken into confidence on the mini-budget finance bill after which the mini-budget would be approved.

The prime minister is active today in approving the mini-budget. Imran Khan decided to take the leaders of the coalition parties into confidence. Parliamentary leaders of the coalition parties will be briefed on the Budget Finance Bill.
