ISLAMABAD: The global epidemic of coronavirus has killed nine more people in Pakistan, bringing the total death toll to 28,793.
According to the latest figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), 310 more coronavirus cases have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours. The total number of virus cases in the country has reached 1.287 million.
According to the NCOC, 43,503 coronavirus tests were performed across the country in the last 24 hours, with a positive case rate of 0.71 percent. The number of cases of coronavirus in Sindh is 477,119, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 180,471, in Punjab 443,610, in Islamabad 17,989, in Balochistan 33,510, in Azad Kashmir 34,586 and in Gilgit-Baltistan 10,414.
The highest number of deaths due to coronavirus was in Punjab where 13,044 people lost their lives while 7,630 in Sindh, 5,868 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 961 in Islamabad, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 362 in Balochistan, and 742 in Azad Kashmir.
