ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed on behalf of Zahir Jaffer, the prime accused of Noor Mukadam’s murder, in which he has been pleaded that he is ‘mentally ill’.

As per the sources, Shah Khawar, a lawyer of Zahir Jaffer filled the petition in which he requested the court that a medical board should be formed to conduct a medical check-up of his client. The plea was filed in the court of Additional Sessions Judge Atta Rabbani.

“Zahir Jaffer shouted various times in the courtroom due to which he was kicked out,” said Khawar, confirming that the lawyer has demanded a medical board be set up to conduct Jaffer’s medical check-up.
