KARACHI: The cattle market 2023 on the Northern Bypass (M-10) of Sindh capital will be fully operational in the next few days, for which strict security arrangements have been made.
Around eight posts of police and rangers have been established in this regard. According to the details, more than 10,000 sacrificial animals from far-flung areas of Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Sindh are brought to the market. All facilities including water and grass for animals are being provided to cattle and traders.
Yawar Raza Chawla, the spokesman of the media cell of the cattle market, said that before the decision was taken to set up the cattle market at Karachi Northern Bypass, the security measures were kept in mind.
Spokesperson Yawar Raza Chawla said that the roads leading to cattle markets are safe passageways for citizens. There are various highways around the cattle market but there are large residential projects through which hundreds of people pass on a daily basis and they also enjoy protection.
He said that the citizens spreading the news by describing the small importation near the cattle market are not well-wishers, the citizens should not stop the rumors. The cattle market has been set up in a secure location and a separate SSP has been deployed for its security and is monitoring 24 hours a day.
Yawar Raza said that the citizens who came to the cattle market should come without fear and danger. Even in the late hours of the night, young people, and children are going to the market along with their families on motorbikes and cars.
He said that thousands of traders belonging to different cities of Punjab, KPK, Balochistan, and Sindh have reached the cattle market safely with more than 10,000 sacrificial animals at this time and the arrival continues.
For the security and lighting of the parking area, big poles and heavy lights are installed. Spokesperson Yawar Raza Chawla said that the monthly car fee for entering the cattle market is 6,000, and the monthly fee for a motorcycle is 3,500 rupees. While different rates are fixed for vehicles parked in the parking area.
Suzuki parking fee is Rs 400, Hyundai, Shahzur Rs 500, truck auction Rs 600, auto rickshaw Rs 250, motorcycle parking fee Rs 50, and motor caravans will be charged Rs 100.

Only vehicles with monthly passes will be allowed to enter the cattle market and the pass issued to the vehicle of the respective number plate cannot be affixed to another vehicle. Prohibited items and weapons will not be allowed inside the vehicle.
There is no entry fee for electronic or print media persons. Yawar Raza Chawla said that a separate entry gate is being allocated for media persons. Reporters, vehicles accompanying cameramen, and DSNGs will be allowed to cover inside the ID Cracker.
