HARNAI: At least four coal miners were killed and three injured, all of them seriously, when unknown gunmen attacked their site in Khost area of Harnai, Balochistan. Locals in the area have started protest, demanding protection and security.
According to details gathered by MM News, gunmen attacked a coalmine site in Khost, Harnai, killing Noor Khan, Abdul Hannan, Syed Hannan and Abdur Rahman on the spot while injuring three other people. Those injured have been identified as Sher Zaman, Syed Akram and Baz Mohammad.
MM News has also learnt that before fleeing from the scene, gunmen set ablaze at least 11 coalmines.
Meanwhile, security forces and officials of district administration rushed to the spot to gather details and kick start investigation.
Locals on the other hand gathered in Khost and staged a protest demonstration, demanding to provide security for the coal miners.
