KARACHI: Three men were arrested on Wednesday morning for attempting to sexually assault a girl in Karachi’s North Nazimabad area.
Police said the incident occurred in North Nazimabad Block B when the suspects stopped the girl’s way. The girl claimed that she was on her way home when the suspect grabbed her hand and forcefully tried to take her to the roof of their apartment.
When she resisted, they beat her up leading to visible scratch marks on her face and neck. The girl escaped and narrated the incident to her family after which her brother lodged an FIR.
Police said the perpetrators have been arrested. They have been identified as Fawad and Hamad along with their father Nazeer. An official investigation has been started into the case and the accused will be interrogated.
A medical examination of the woman revealed that she had scratch marks on her neck. However, the girl’s family said the police had released the suspect after taking them into custody.
