ISLAMABAD: The federal government has formed a new management committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board.
The federal cabinet approved the formation of a new management committee of PCB through summary circulation, Zaka Ashraf has been appointed as the chairman of PCB management committee in the new committee.
The government has removed PCB Chief Election Commissioner Ahmed Shahzad Farooq Rana from the post and in his place, Mahmood Iqbal Khakwani has been appointed as the new PCB Chief Election Commissioner.
The new management committee of PCB has been formed for 4 months, the management committee will look after the affairs of the cricket board including ICC among others. The committee consists of 10 members, Kaleemullah Khan, Ashfaq Akhtar, Mossadegh Islam, Azmat Parvez, Zaheer Abbas, Khurram Soomro, Khawaja Nadeem, Mustafa Ramday, and Zulfiqar Malik are included in the committee.
The first meeting of the management committee of PCB has been convened in Lahore yesterday while the issue of the election of the PCB chairman and eligibility of Zaka Ashraf is pending in the courts.
