ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Dr. Zafar Mirza in a tweet announced that he was experiencing mild symptoms and was taking all precautions.

The minister also applauded the services of his colleagues, saying, “Keep up the good work! You are making a big difference and I am proud of you.” Several politicians along with PTI ministers had tested positive for the novel coronavirus over the past few months.
Prominent political leaders who had contracted the virus so far include National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, PPP leader Saeed Ghani, and Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid. However, many of them have recovered from the disease.

According to Pakistan’s Health Ministry, more than 223,300 people have tested positive across the country, while more than 4,500 deaths have been reported.
