RAWALPINDI: Two people were severely injured after a dispute erupted over the payment of the bill at a fast food centre located in Bahria Town.
The incident occurred at the franchise of global fast food centre KFC located Phase 7, Bahria Town. A group of youngsters came to the outlet on Friday evening and scuffled with the restaurant’s staff after refusing to pay the bill.
The restaurant’s staff expressed their displeasure after the youngsters refused to pay the bill after buying the food. This led to a dispute after which the rowdy youngsters damaged the restaurant’s furniture and broke window panes.
The youngsters then engaged in firing inside the restaurant which continued to 30-45 minutes and left two others severely injured. They were shifted to hospital for medical purposes.
The security personnel of Bahria Town informed police about the firing incident and damage to public property. However, police reached the site of the incident after a delay of two and a half hours.
The suspects had managed to escape until the police’s arrival. A case has not been lodged over the incident till the filing of this report neither have any of the suspect being arrested.
