ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that due to the wrong policies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, a lack of foreign investment in the country has arisen.
Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad, the finance minister said that the country is facing many challenges as the economic crisis has been inherited by the coalition government. “The government is trying for economic recovery, it will overcome the economic problems soon,” he said.
The federal minister of Finance said that PML-N had completed the IMF program in the last period. “Pakistan had become the 24th largest economy in the previous period of PML-N, Pakistan was the best market in Asia, but since 2018, the country is in economic difficulties. has increased,” he added.

Regarding the IMF program, Ishaq Dar said that Imran Khan deviated from the IMF program, damaged the trust of development institutions, lack of foreign investment due to wrong policies of PTI and increased budget deficit.
The finance minister added that an agreement with the IMF is expected to be reached in the next few days, regardless of the situation, the previous government’s agreements will be respected.
