Worst traffic jam in DHA, Korangi due to lawyers’ protest

Karachi residents are experiencing a crippling traffic jam today, triggered by a lawyers’ protest, the cause of which remains undisclosed. The chaos has spread across key areas including Korangi Road in DHA, the Qayum Abad roundabout, Qayum Abad Flyover, and Jam Sadiq Bridge, severely disrupting normal commuting since early morning. 

As protesting lawyers converged at Defence Morh, they effectively blocked the road, resulting in extensive queues of heavy traffic stretching from Brook Chorangi to Defence Morh along Korangi Road, traversing through phases 1 and 2 of DHA Karachi.

The police have reported a dispute between defense lawyers and government agency officials.

As per a private TV report, police stated that both lawyers and government officials sustained minor injuries during the altercation. In response, the legal community has organized a protest near Defense Morh.

The leader of the lawyers asserts that our case remains unregistered. They have declared that Korangi Road will remain closed until the FIR is filed. It’s worth noting that the ongoing traffic halt is causing significant transportation issues for the citizens.
