LAHORE: Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi has said that he would stand side-by-side with Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar as a coalition partner of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League Quaid (PML-Q).
Usman Buzdar and Pervaiz Elahi earlier today held a meeting in Lahore to discuss matters of mutual interest and on-going political situation.
They both agreed to maintain joint efforts for eliminating all complications and plots being made against the provincial government.
Pervaiz Elahi in the meeting once again supported the chief minister on behalf of PML-Q. On the other hand, Usman Buzdar said that the opposition has continued politics on non-issues as the political parties have no agenda to follow.
He added that the Punjab government made record legislation in a very short period. Later, he left for Islamabad to attend a high-level meeting at Prime Minister House.
Earlier in November, both leaders had met and agreed to strengthen working relations. The two sides also considered the ongoing political and economic conditions in the country.
