KARACHI: Inflation-burdened citizens are expected to face more hardships as milk prices in the city are likely to increase by Rs 50 per litre.
The President of Dairy Farmers Karachi, Mubasher Qadeer Abbasi, referring to the production of milk, has said that the price of milk is expected to increase by Rs 50 per liter for the people of Karachi soon.
According to the report of ARY, Mubasher Qadeer Abbasi has emphasized the urgent need for the Karachi Commissioner to issue a notification regarding the new prices according to the production cost of milk immediately.
He said that if the authorities do not announce the increase in milk prices by May 10, the stakeholders will take matters into their own hands and increase the prices after consensus.
It should be noted that the current inflation in the country has broken all the records of the past and the prices of food items are touching sky highs. Despite the decrease in petroleum prices in the country, the prices of goods have not decreased, but now the dairy farmers have demanded a lump sum increase of Rs.50.
