Emraan Hashmi’s much-awaited Awarapan 2 has landed in cinemas, with the action thriller releasing worldwide on August 14, 2026.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under Vishesh Films, the film brings Hashmi back as Shivam, the character he originally played in the 2007 cult classic Awarapan.
The sequel also stars Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in key roles and continues the themes of love, revenge, sacrifice and redemption associated with the original.
Although Shivam appeared to die at the end of the first film, he returns in the sequel as an older, hardened and emotionally scarred man.
According to reviews, Shivam’s journey takes a new turn when he encounters Zara, played by Disha Patani, and Nafisa, portrayed by Shabana Azmi. Their lives become intertwined as they face a growing threat.
