The Wheel of Time, streaming on Prime Video, quickly rose to global popularity but has now been cancelled after three seasons, a move that has disappointed its loyal fanbase. Despite receiving widespread acclaim, the show has reportedly been axed due to declining viewership.
A report suggests that financial considerations played a key role in the cancellation, as the show’s audience dropped notably in its third season. Deadline notes that Season 3 failed to maintain a spot on the Top 10 Original Charts after its first three weeks, indicating that the viewership numbers were not strong enough to justify a renewal.
