As per media reports, streaming giant Netflix is not working since yesterday due to technical glitch that affecting millions of customers across the world including Pakistan.
According to outage-tracking platform Downdetector, the issue began around 2 p.m on Thursday, and was quickly reported across major US cities including New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Users attempting to log in encountered persistent error codes and were abruptly signed out of their profiles. Many were also shown incorrect user profiles and reported problems navigating the platform.
Some subscribers reported on social media that they were seeing error codes when trying to log in, while others said they were being redirected to other profiles or seeing watch lists that were not their own. Reloading the website or the app consistently showed an error, they said.
Outage.com reported that they received error reports from the US, UK, Italy, France, Canada, UAE, and several other countries.
As per media reports, Netflix has acknowledged the issue and is working to resolve it, but a complete fix is still pending.
As of 2025, Netflix boasts over 300 million subscribers worldwide, with more than 81 million based in the US. The widespread outage disrupted viewing plans for millions of users around the globe.
