Who’s Mr X and why is he trending on Twitter?

MM News Staff by MM News Staff
September 20, 2022

Mr. X has been the talk of Twittersphere again as it became one of the top twitter trends on Tuesday.

So, who’s the mysterious character of Mr. X?

Late Monday’s evening, former Prime Minister Imran Khan in his speech at his Chakwal rally told his supporters to threaten back those threatening them from ‘unknown numbers’.

“Who are they to threaten you?” Imran Khan hit out “You are the leaders of the country! Calling you from unknown numbers, threatening and scaring you. Do what you want! We will see too”

“Women, children, and especially young men must prepare themselves, and be ready to break the chains of fear,” Khan added.

Imran said he was not doing politics rather he was fighting for ‘real freedom’ and doing ‘jihad’. “Break the idol of fear, do not fear those who give threats through secret numbers. If they threaten you, then you should threaten them back. “If any Mr X and Mr Y are intimidating you, then you should respond to their threats. Do whatever you can we will respond to you as well,” he added.

Mr X Mr Y your game is over. No more experiments with pakistan.

As soon as Khan uttered aforementioned words in his Chakwal speech, Mr X started trending on Twitter with twitteratis speculating about Mr X again, while PTI supporters appreciated the fact that Imran Khan came out openly against those mysterious characters.

Dr. Shireen Mazari tweeted “Message loud & clear. We cannot live under a state of subjugation because of fear.”

While, PTI social media activist Jibran Ilyas said “Overwhelming majority in @PTIofficial’s Space Session today loved the part of Imran Khan’s speech where he asked Awaam to not be fearful in this struggle for Haqeeqi Azaadi. Here is an example of how ready people are to get rid of Imported Setup!”

The first time the nation heard about the mysterious Mr. X and Mr. Y was back in July before the Punjab by-polls that PTI won with a thumping victory.

— Haniya Official PTI (@H_aniya_) September 11, 2022

During the campaign, the former premier mentioned these mysterious charachtter numerous times alleging that a mysterious character Mr X, who is based in Lahore, was planning to rig the Punjab by-polls.

Mr X, Y and Z with this #ImportedGovernment will go to any extent for a psychiatric patient.

— Adil Raja (@soldierspeaks) September 10, 2022

Addressing a huge public rally in Darya Khan Tehsil of Bhakkar, the ousted Pakistani premier said, ‘Mr. X has deployed Mr. Y’ in Multan for rigging in the upcoming by-polls, but he mentioned that the masses would disrupt such efforts.

Although, Khan did not name anyone, many believe that Khan was taking aim at an officer of the country’s premier intelligence agency.

The military recently denied the officer’s involvement in any political activity after PTI leader leader leveled allegations against him.
