Anniqa Meraj has been crowned Miss World Pakistan 2026, becoming the first Pakistani woman to represent the country at the prestigious Miss World pageant.
The crowning ceremony was held at Lahore’s Faletti’s Hotel, where the crown was presented by Dr Shafaq Akhtar, Miss Pakistan Universal 2022, alongside Attaullah Gujjar, Mr Pakistan World.
Miss World announced the development through its official website and Instagram account on Thursday, confirming that Meraj will represent Pakistan at the 75th Anniversary Edition of the Miss World Festival, scheduled to take place in Vietnam from August 9 to September 5.
Who is Anniqa Meraj?

Also known as Anniqa Jamal Iqbal, the 24-year-old has built an impressive profile in international beauty pageants and is now set to make history as Pakistan’s first contestant in the 73-year history of the Miss World competition.
Academically, Meraj holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Economics and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Auditing and Accounting. She aims to become a State-Authorized Public Accountant and has also worked as a lawyer.
International Pageant Experience
Meraj is no stranger to the global pageant circuit. She previously won the title of Miss Pakistan World 2022 and has represented Pakistan at several international beauty competitions.
Her achievements include winning four titles at the Miss Freedom of the World competition held in Kosovo. She has also represented Pakistan at major international pageants, including:
