Wendy’s, a Columbus-based fast-food chain with its headquarters in Columbus, revealed this week that it is teaming up with Paramount to commemorate “SpongeBob SquarePants” 25 years anniversary by introducing the “Krabby Patty Kollab.”
As per the official press release, “The Krabby Patty Kollab” initiative aims to introduce food creations that draw inspiration from the popular “SpongeBob SquarePants’ Krabby Patty” into the real world and onto menus for the first time ever. It should be noted that the popular animated series premiered on Nickelodeon for the first time in 1999.
Two menu items, according to USA Today, will be offered at Wendy’s restaurants for a brief period of time. The first is the Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty, a vanilla Frosty with a pineapple mango flavored puree swirl. Furthermore, the restaurant serves a Krabby Patty Kollab Burger, which is a rendition of the well-known cartoon character. It consists of two pieces of melted American cheese, quarter-pound beef, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, and a “top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce” all served on a toasted bun.
