The President of the Awami National Party (ANP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Aftab Hussain, has expressed serious concerns over alarming news coming from Lower Dir, Upper Dir, and Bajaur. There are reports of people being asked to vacate their homes in various locations.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Mr. Aftab Hussain said that we must realize that in the coming days, the dangers will increase further. We need to sit together and devise a plan of action to counter these threats.
He demanded transparent and impartial investigations into the incidents occurring in Malakand Division, and emphasized that the background, roles, and all factors involved in the incidents should be brought before the public.
He stated that progressive thinking and ideology in our region, in any form, have been obstructed. We must ponder why our shared thoughts are being continuously restricted, and who, how, and why our strength is being divided and distributed.
