Ayyan Ali, once a famous supermodel has reacted to Asif Ali Zardari becoming a president of Pakistan for a second term.
The model who was said to be laundering money for then-president Zardari in 2015 remained low profile after her involvement in the money laundering case which put her entire career at stake.
Ayyan Ali took to X, formerly called Twitter, and shared her reaction after Asif Ali Zardari was sworn in as the president of Pakistan for a second term. “Mornin’ Mr President. Godspeed and Good luck. And of course not to forget. Ahh well very respectfully, Asif Ali Zardari is the head of state again and we all love him,” she tweeted.
Her tweet raises so many concerns that were put under the rug; her connection with Zardari which led model in jail and continuous probes. Ali was once Pakistan’s top supermodel, one of the country’s most photographed figures. Her every action was fodder for gossip magazines. It was March 2015 when Ayyan was arrested from Islamabad’s international airport.
As per Pakistani authorities, Ali’s luggage had $506,800 stuffed inside a small suitcase, Since the model’s career spanned upside down. Her arrest had upended more than Pakistan’s fashion industry.
From getting fame from a cellphone commercial to becoming Calvin Klein’s brand ambassador in Pakistan, Ayyan Ali was one of the supermodels who had once witnessed such fame.
