Senator Faisal Vawda has made alarming accusations, claiming that Bushra Bibi, the wife of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, could be plotting to harm her husband, even going as far as to suggest she could be involved in a plot to kill him.
Appearing on ARY News’ Off The Record, Vawda accused Bushra Bibi of destabilizing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and undermining Khan’s leadership, which he believes could have dangerous consequences for the former prime minister.
Vawda, who has been outspoken in his criticisms of the former first lady, described her as a “venomous woman” who is allegedly responsible for causing significant divisions within PTI. “She and her accomplices have the capacity to kill Khan by poisoning him and then do politics over his dead body,” Vawda stated, further escalating concerns about her influence within the party.
His accusations are part of a broader narrative in which Vawda blames Bushra Bibi for interference in PTI’s internal affairs. According to Vawda, her actions have led to growing tensions and rifts among party leaders. Reports have surfaced in recent weeks that Bushra Bibi used derogatory language toward senior PTI officials, including calling them “beghairat” (dishonorable) and “vultures” during a meeting in Peshawar. This reportedly contributed to the resignation of PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja.
Vawda also criticized Bushra Bibi’s role in the direction of PTI protests. He claimed that she defied instructions from Imran Khan, diverting a planned protest to D-Chowk instead of the agreed location in Sangjani, leading to confusion and disarray.
In addition to his allegations of internal party sabotage, Vawda addressed the controversial issue of the Toshakhana gifts, claiming that Bushra Bibi played a role in orchestrating the sale of these items, with the proceeds going to her children instead of Imran Khan’s family. Vawda’s comments echo ongoing concerns regarding the former prime minister’s legal troubles surrounding the Toshakhana scandal.
Despite his harsh criticism of Bushra Bibi, Vawda expressed deep concern for Imran Khan’s safety, who has been incarcerated in Adiala Jail for over a year. Vawda vowed to do everything in his power to protect Khan, stressing that he had been betrayed by those close to him, including his wife.
As tensions continue to rise within PTI, Vawda’s explosive allegations have intensified the focus on the relationship between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi, with many now questioning the future of both the party and the former prime minister’s political career.
