The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted rain and snowfall in various parts of the country, beginning today, with light rain expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas.
According to the met office, rainfall is likely in regions including Quetta, Pishin, Qila Saifullah, Zhob, and Sherani. Other areas such as Musakhel, Barkhan, Ziarat, Loralai, and Dera Ghazi Khan may also experience showers. Southern regions, including Gwadar, Kech, Panjgur, Awaran, Kalat, Khuzdar, and Lasbela, will see weather changes with expected rainfall.
From this evening until December 2, rain is forecasted in North Waziristan, South Waziristan, Kurram, Mohmand, and Khyber districts. Additional rainfall is predicted in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Buner, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Kohistan.
In the northern areas of the country, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, rain and snowfall are expected in regions such as Ghizer, Gilgit, Hunza, and Skardu.
Light rain is also possible in the Potohar region, including Murree, Galiyat, Islamabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Layyah, which should provide some relief from the dry conditions.
The Met Office has urged residents in mountainous areas to prepare for snowfall and potential disruptions to travel. Additionally, smog and fog are expected in parts of central Punjab, while dry weather and fog will persist in Sindh.
