WASHINGTON: US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller has expressed sympathy with the victims while condemning the attack on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) election rally.
While giving a press briefing in Washington, the US spokesperson said that Pakistanis have the right to choose their leader without fear.
Matthew Miller stated that there were also attacks on other political parties in Pakistan last month, while the staff of the Election Commission has also been attacked in many places. He further said that he condemns any violence that harms the electoral process in Pakistan.
He added that they want to see a free and transparent election process in Pakistan. ‘We will continue to cooperate with Pakistan to end terrorism’.
