KARACHI: Most of the residents of Karachi are very fond of delicious food, if you too, then must try Indian Dossa which is available in Bahadurabad, Karachi since a long time. It is a South Indian dish which is quite unique and tasty and attracting more and more Karachiites with the passage of time.
MM News arranged an interview with owner of the Dossa restaurant, so that bring useful information for you about this unique dish.
The owner, during the interview, said that he has been selling Dossa here for 28 years. Actually the restaurant has been set up in a van. He said that “this is my third food vehicle from which the service is being provided.”
He added that the bread that we usually eat is made of wheat flour, but Dossa is made of rice and mash pulse, while its preparation method is also different.
He said that it is totally different thing when compare to a common bread. “Medically it is very useful as it digests quickly, have less oil,” he added.
“Usually when we take paratha, we try to make it crunchy so we use more oil for this purpose, but for making Dossa we use less oil, but still it is crispy because of rice and pulses.
To a question he said that, they use branded oil and everything is made in house, because they do not compromise on quality. “ When you eat a better and tasty food, you like it and also advise to other to try it.” He added.
At the end he said, despite high quality ingredients, he charge very reasonable price so it is not very expensive, everyone can afford it. “We have fixed its price at 400 rupees and these are 6 months old rates.” He concluded.
