KARACHI: Darakhshan police arrested two suspects, including an injured man, following an alleged encounter near Khayaban-e-Shaheen in Phase VI, police said.
According to police officials, the suspects were identified as Hasnain and Khizr Abbas. Hasnain sustained injuries during the exchange of fire and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. Khizr Abbas was shifted to the police station for further questioning.
Police claimed to have recovered a .30-bore TT pistol, live ammunition and a Honda 125 motorcycle from the suspects’ possession.
Officials said the criminal records of both suspects were being verified. Further investigation into the incident and the alleged involvement of the arrested men in other offences is currently underway.
