Two soldiers martyred in North Waziristan operation

PESHAWAR: At least two soldiers were martyrdom and two terrorists were killed during an operation conducted on a terrorist hideout in the Boya area of North Waziristan, said Inter-Services Public Relations.
According to the military’s media wing, the security forces conducted a search operation on the reports about the presence of terrorists in the hideout in Charkhail village of Boya.
“Presence of terrorists was reported in a hideout. During operation two terrorists killed,” said the statement. “Terrorists raided an FC post in North Waziristan district near the Pak-Afghan border.”
During the combat, two soldiers, Havaldar Shar Zaman and Sepoy Muhammad Jawad, embraced martyrdom while two terrorists were also killed.

Earlier on Sunday, one Frontier Corps soldier embraced martydrom while two militants were killed by the paramilitary on Sunday in North Waziristan area long the Pak-Afghan border.
According to the ISPR, one FC personnel were also injured in the firing exchange, while two militants were killed when they attacked a check post in the tribal area.
“Terrorist fire raided FC post in North Wazirstan Distt near Pak-Afg Border. During exchange of fire 2 terrorists killed.

The martyred soldier was identified as Lance Naik Muhammad Imran. The identities of the injured FC soldiers have not yet been disclosed.
In the past month, a number of attacks on FC soldiers were witnessed. Two FC officers were martyred on November 5 when unknown militants opened fire on an FC convoy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Dera Ismail Khan district.
On November 15, at least two FC personnel were martyred and five others injured after the personnel’s vehicle was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Quetta’s Kuchlak area.
