RAWALPINDI: Two soldiers of the Pakistan Army were martyred when terrorists attacked the military check post in District Kech of Balochistan, the military’s media wing said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement late Thursday that terrorists targeted a military post in near Kech, an area of Balochistan.
“During intense exchange of fire, Lance Naik Manzar Abbas, a resident of District Khushab and Sepoy Abdul Fath, a resident of Khuzdar, embraced Shahadat [martyrdom],” stated the military’s media wing.
The ISPR said a search operation was underway in the area to hunt the militants who had fled after the attack. “Security forces are determined to defeat such acts of inimical elements, aimed at disrupting the peace, stability and progress of Balochistan,” said the ISPR.
Earlier this month, a Pakistan Army soldier was martyred as well when militants targeted a security forces checkpost along the Pakistan-Iran border in the Abdoi sector, Balochistan.
“During the heavy exchange of fire, Lance Naik Zaheer Ahmed r/o (resident of) Nushki embraced martyrdom fighting valiantly,” the ISPR had said.
On November 27, two soldiers were martyred when terrorists attacked a military post in the Datta Khel town of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, the military’s media affairs wing said.
According to a statement issued by ISPR, 27-year-old Naik Rehman, a resident of Chitral, and 22-year-old Lance Naik Arif, a resident of Tank, embraced martyrdom during an “intense exchange of fire” with the terrorists.
